Dad, Thomesa and Mom
My surname, Lydon, is a derivative of the English surname Linden and means, “from the Linden tree.” English legend describes that the Linden tree is considered sacred due to bee’s desire for them and the high quality of honey the bees produce.
The historical English translation of Linden (Lydon) means …“Tree of Life and Transformation.” This is reflected in the tree’s heart-shaped leaves and in the fact that the under-side of each leaf is shiny. (Not the upper leaf surface as in most trees.)
Please know that from our collective heart, centered squarely in the historical definition of our name, within our senior services, we will be the bees that release the honey nestled in “youthful minds over aging matters” because growing older doesn’t mean to live old.
